Job summary

PepsiCo in Sylmar, CA is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician. Pay is $39.61 per hour, with work days Monday–Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. This full-time role involves maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles to keep drivers on the road and products stocked.

On-the-job training is provided along with health and lifestyle benefits; CDL may be required for certain tasks. You may work weekends/holidays as needed while supporting the PepsiCo fleet (Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos).

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years of age or older.
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift.
• You have a valid Non-DOT Driver's License.
• Your driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years
• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required)
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor
