Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in Rosenberg, TX to maintain and repair our fleet vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical issues and perform preventive maintenance to keep drivers safe and on the road delivering Lay's, Doritos and Cheetos products.

You will work with experienced mechanics on complex repairs, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with vendors for parts and outside labor. A CDL is required and work shifts run 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• You are at least 21 years of age or older.
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift.
• You have a valid CDL Class A License.
• Your driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years.
• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You have the ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required)
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor
