Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician in North Palm Springs, CA. The role involves maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, diagnosing issues, and performing preventative maintenance to keep drivers safe and on the road.

You will work alongside experienced mechanics on complex repairs, return vehicles to the traffic center when CDL is required, and manage parts inventory using company systems. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for hands-on training.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old or older.
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift.
• You have a valid Non-DOT Driver's License.
• Your driver’s license has not been suspended or revoked in the last 3 years.
• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You have the ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required).
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
