Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. is seeking a full-time Fleet Mechanic in Piscataway, NJ to maintain and repair fleet vehicles and equipment. The role involves independent preventative maintenance and diagnosing issues using advanced tools, with opportunities to work on cars, trucks, vans, and forklifts.

Starting at $32.10 per hour, the position offers on-the-job training, a fast-paced environment, and full-time benefits. Hours are typically Monday through Friday with a 3 PM start and a 12 PM endtime.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• CDL License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and DOT compliance
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Lift up to 50 lbs (with/without accommodation)
• Reach, lift, carry, push, and pull (with/without accommodation)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with independence
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Maintain and grow skills on diverse fleet equipment (cars, trucks, vans, forklifts)
• Diagnose failures and disassemble/repair parts as needed
• Maintain documentation and respond to service calls as required

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles and equipment so beloved brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Aquafina reach communities safely and on time.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with a high degree of independence
• Use leading-edge tools and diagnostic technology to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Maintain and grow your skills working on Pepsis diverse fleet equipment, including automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts
• Diagnose failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as needed
• Maintain documentation and records (e.g., vehicle records and checklists) and respond to service calls when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Valid CDL License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and Follow DOT regulations (Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Position must be able to lift up to 50lbs (with or without accommodation)
• Position must be able to reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without accommodation)
