Job summary

PepsiCo in Latham, NY is seeking a fleet mechanic to maintain and repair our light and medium-duty vehicles and equipment. You’ll perform PMs and repairs, document work orders, and use diagnostic platforms with on-the-job training while supporting a safety-first culture.

You must be 21+, have a valid US driver’s license, be able to lift 50 lbs, and hold Brakes, ASE Electrical, and ASE Heavy Duty certifications. The role offers full-time hours, competitive pay, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Lift up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodation).
• Reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without accommodation).
• Certifications: Brakes, ASE Electrical, ASE Heavy Duty.
• At least 1 year of experience or training in hydraulic and air brake systems, after treatment and emissions repairs, driveline repairs, engine repairs, using diagnostic platforms, and welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs with a high degree of independence.
• Use diagnostic tools and programs to diagnose issues and complete repairs (training provided).
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across a diverse fleet (light/heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts).
• Maintain documentation and records (work orders, vehicle records, checklists) using provided tools.
• Support safety-first culture by following all safety standards and procedures—and answering service calls as needed.
