Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician to learn and perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles to prevent breakdowns and improve overall reliability. You will learn to diagnose issues, perform safety-critical repairs, and document work in SAP to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2-year technical training, ASE or inspector certifications, and a valid CDL-A preferred.

Qualifications

• Education and certifications related to heavy- and medium-duty fleet maintenance.
• Valid driver license with CDL-A preferred; DOT compliance awareness.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections and address maintenance needs per company methods.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications on engines, transmissions, drive-line, electrical, and other systems.
• Document all work on Work Orders (SAP) with accurate fault and correction details.
• Collaborate with management to prioritize a repair schedule and ensure PM compliance.
