Job summary

Sysco Kansas City is seeking a Fleet Technician II to support preventive maintenance and diagnostics for tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will perform inspections, repairs, and road-call services to keep delivery operations running smoothly.

This role requires a high school education, technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks, and relevant ASE/inspector certifications. A valid CDL-A is preferred; safety and compliance are emphasized throughout the job.”

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year medium/heavy duty truck technical training.
• Annual Inspector Certification.
• Brake Inspector Certification.
• ASE Certification - Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty.
• Current and Valid Driver's License; CDL-A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications across engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Document all work on Work Orders (SAP) using proper format and ensure timely communication with drivers.
