Job summary

US3080 Sygma Florida (The Sygma Network, Inc) seeks a fleet technician to learn and perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.

You will diagnose issues to manufacturer specifications, document work in SAP, and expand expertise across engines, transmissions, braking and electrical systems while adhering to safety and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year Heavy Duty truck tech program preferred.
• Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification knowledge/abilities.
• ASE Certification – Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty.
• Experience with computer-based diagnostic software for OEM and component manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles (tractors, trailers, dollies, lift gates, light-duty vehicles).
• Carry out maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and more.
• Document all work in SAP using standard format (Complaint, Cause, Correction).
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco maintenance computer programs.
