Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute in California is seeking a Fleet Technician to learn and perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs to prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve fleet reliability.

You will inspect and maintain tractors, trailers, and related equipment, document work in SAP, and grow skills in diagnosis, repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC and electrical systems while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Equivalent.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school.
• Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
• Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
• ASE Certification - Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty.
• Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM & component mfg.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform maintenance repairs including engines, transmissions, drive-line, brakes, HVAC, electrical systems and lift-gate systems as required.
• Document all work on Work Orders (SAP) using Complaint, Cause, and Correction.
• Learn and develop efficiency in all Maintenance Relates Sysco Computer programs.
