Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician for the SHIPPENSBURG terminal to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on tractors and trailers. A high school diploma is required, with a Diesel Technology Program diploma preferred, and a minimum of one year of mechanical experience.

You must supply your own tools and hold a valid driver’s license. The role runs Monday through Friday with day part times listed; U.S. Xpress offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Diesel Tech program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience; DOT and brake certifications preferred.
• Must provide own tools and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers.
• Carry out minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring, etc.
• Check fluids and tire maintenance; grease and tire changes as needed.
• Maintain productivity and complete tasks within SRT times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
