Zusammenfassung

American Electric Power Fleet Technicians keep the Company’s sedans, trucks, trailers and heavy equipment in top condition through comprehensive mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel repair. The role covers diagnostics, preventive maintenance and safe operation of fleet assets to support service operations.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of automotive diagnostic experience with hydraulics and diesel repair, and a valid driver’s license; a Class A CDL

Qualifikationen

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of automotive diagnostic experience with hydraulic and diesel repair.
Graduation from automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.
Valid state driver's license required; Class A CDL within 12 months of entry date.

Aufgaben

Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies and hydraulic systems.
Inspect and repair steering, braking, fuel, exhaust, and powertrain components.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle and hydraulic problems.
Operate and test company vehicles and equipment after maintenance.
Maintain records and submit reports; assist training of others.
Direct and assist other technicians as needed.
