You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues with diagnostic tools, and ensure DOT compliance while coordinating with dispatch to minimize downtime. ASE certification is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a fleet technician, diesel mechanic, or automotive technician.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle compliance standards.
• Ability to use diagnostic software and hand/power tools effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• ASE certification(s) preferred but not required.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Coordinate with dispatch and operations to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Identify and order necessary parts and supplies to complete repairs efficiently.
