Job summary

Barr Transportation in Elkridge, MD, is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team and keep our professional fleet at peak performance. If you are passionate about vehicles and take pride in quality work, we want to hear from you.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues with diagnostic tools, and ensure DOT compliance while coordinating with dispatch to minimize downtime. ASE certification is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a fleet technician, diesel mechanic, or automotive technician.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle compliance standards.
• Ability to use diagnostic software and hand/power tools effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• ASE certification(s) preferred but not required.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
