Job summary

Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing is seeking an Intermediate Fleet Technician to diagnose minor mechanical and electrical problems under supervision, road test vehicles, and ensure compliance with federal and state standards. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and component upgrades on light to heavy-duty tractors.

This role requires a High School Diploma, 4 years’ experience, a valid Class B license, CFC 609 certification, and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Must have valid Class B Driver’s License.
• CFC 609 certification required.
• Able to follow safety policies and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose minor mechanical and electrical problems per repair practices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and identify concerns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.
• Repair, replace, and adjust components across major systems.
• Maintain vehicle records and assist with parts options.
• Comply with federal/state vehicle requirements and safety standards.
