Responsibilities include diagnostics, routine maintenance, DOT inspections, and teamwork to maintain high uptime while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced fleet environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Technical degree or 2+ years in heavy‑duty vehicle maintenance.
• Experience using diagnostic software to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems for tractors and trailers using industry tools (JPRO, OEM tools).
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Complete DOT inspections following FMCSA guidelines to ensure safety and compliance.
• Use multimeters and diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues.
• Maintain shop safety and organization while meeting tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with team to improve shop productivity.

• Execute comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems for tractors and trailers using industry-standard software like JPRO and OEM diagnostic tools.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to maximize vehicle uptime and ensure long-term equipment reliability.
• Perform thorough DOT inspections in strict accordance with FMCSA guidelines to maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Utilize multimeters and computer-based diagnostic equipment to pinpoint complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain a high standard of shop safety and organization while managing equipment repairs to meet tight operational deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to share technical knowledge and improve overall shop productivity.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Technical degree or a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using modern diagnostic software.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform tasks requiring extended standing or reaching.

Preferred Skills

• Possession of or ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Active ASE certifications or a strong desire to pursue certification with company support.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dedicated fleet environment.
