Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. You’ll install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers, and travel to customer sites for mobile installations.

Candidates should have hands-on automotive or electrical experience, be able to read wiring diagrams, lift up to 50 lbs, hold a valid driver’s license, and be 21+ years old.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles and trailers.
• Comfortable reading basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• 20+ years of age or older (21+ recommended).

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Document completed installations with photos and notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
