Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience, with comfort in 12V/24V wiring and the ability to learn new fleet technologies in a mobile, customer-facing environment. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Document completed installations with photos and service notes.
• Maintain safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
