Tyson Foods seeks a dedicated Transportation Team Lead for the 2nd shift to steer its private fleet operations toward key business goals. You will drive driver performance, scheduling, and on-time service while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on supervision, effective communication, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve driver and load issues and optimize throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading and directing the Tyson private fleet transportation team to achieve business and financial objectives. Responsibilities include: Driver management. On time service management. Driver safety management. Driver and load problem resolution. Other duties as assigned. 2nd Shift (Nightshift): 6PM - 6AM; Days worked will vary.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred Experience: Minimum of 1 year in transportation Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Tyson Business Computer Systems, Sale Inventory SAP Transportation, and Warehousing Systems is a plus Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Supervisory: Acts as a team leader, providing functional supervision and training for other team members Travel: Occasional domestic trips (1-5 per year)
