Job summary

DMT Trucking, part of PS Logistics, seeks a Shop Service Manager to run a safe, efficient shop and improve profitability. You will lead technicians, control costs, manage inventory, and maintain strong customer and driver relations across multiple terminals.

Responsibilities include budgeting, reporting, training, and ensuring OSHA compliance while delivering high-quality repairs and services. The role requires leadership and a focus on safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years heavy duty diesel repair and management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business reports and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and staff.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Forecast goals and objectives and strive to meet them.
• Train, coach, motivate and monitor the performance of technicians and staff.
• Administer and maintain annual operating budget.
• Administer and maintain daily reporting.
• Monitor shop performance with reports and tracking systems.
• Maintain safe, clean and OSHA-compliant shop.
• Establish relationships with customers and drivers to drive repeat business.
• Execute tasks assigned by senior management with excellence.
