Job summary

TCI Transportation seeks a Shop Service Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple shop locations in the United States. You will supervise a team of skilled diesel technicians, drive safety and performance, and ensure reliable fleet maintenance.

This family-owned company offers a base salary of $75,000 to $85,000 with quarterly incentives, comprehensive benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities. If you bring 10+ years in diesel tech and 5+ years in shop leadership, we'd like to meet

Qualifications

10+ years of diesel technician experience.
5+ years of shop management or maintenance leadership experience.
Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive operational performance.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
Solid computer proficiency and experience with maintenance systems.
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of diesel technicians while reinforcing TCI's Core Values.
Oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair operations to maximize fleet uptime.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Build lasting customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and resolving maintenance concerns.
Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top-performing technicians.
Manage shop budgets, labor productivity, inventory, and operating costs.
Drive continuous improvement through safety meetings, performance coaching, and operational best practices.
