Job summary

DMN Transport is seeking an experienced Truck & Trailer Shop Manager to lead and oversee our in-house maintenance and repair operations. This is a management-focused role supervising mechanics and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure efficient daily operations.

Ideal candidates will have strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers, with experience managing maintenance operations and ensuring DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Shop Manager or maintenance supervisor in heavy-duty diesel.
• Strong technical understanding of diesel trucks and trailers.
• Experience supervising mechanics and managing shop operations.
• Ability to schedule, delegate, and prioritize maintenance work.
• Knowledge of DOT maintenance and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations and supervise diesel mechanics and technicians.
• Assign work, establish priorities, monitor technician performance and productivity.
• Coordinate truck and trailer repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Minimize equipment downtime through effective planning and repair coordination.
• Manage parts inventory, purchasing, suppliers, and vendor relationships.
• Monitor maintenance expenses, repair costs, and shop efficiency.
• Ensure repairs meet company standards and DOT requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and track repair progress.
• Communicate with operations regarding equipment availability and maintenance priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve shop processes and productivity.
• Maintain a safe, organized, productive work environment.
