Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a Maintenance Shop Manager to lead our mechanical team across multiple shop locations. You will hire, train, and develop staff, oversee budgets, and ensure DOT and OSHA compliance while keeping productivity high.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industry experience with tractors, trailers, and forklifts, strong technical and communication skills, and the ability to foster a team environment in a fast-paced LTL network.

Qualifications

• 3 – 5 years of industry knowledge and experience working on tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
• 3 – 5 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in and develop a team atmosphere.
• Experience and understanding of working within a budget.
• Strong knowledge of Class 8 truck & trailer repair.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent multitasking and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, training, and development of mechanical staff.
• Maintain efficient productivity levels.
• Ensuring shop stays in compliance with set budget.
• Oversight of satellite locations with a small hourly staff.
• Managing parts inventory.
• General maintenance and repairs on company trailers.
• Enforce & practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Follow all D.O.T. and OSHA safety standards.
