The City of Pasadena is seeking a Service Writer/Auto Service Porter to document repair requests, coordinate vehicle movements, track repair status, and communicate with operators, mechanics, and vendors. You will review maintenance history, enter service requests, and assign tasks to mechanics to keep vehicles available.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma/GED and a valid Texas driver’s license, with preferred one year of automotive service or fleet experience and familiarity with

Competenze

• Requires valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Preferred: 1 year of automotive service, fleet operations, or related experience.
• Experience with computerized work-order or maintenance management systems is a plus.
• Automotive or vehicle maintenance training or related experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Receive and document vehicle repair requests and prioritize work.
• Coordinate movement and servicing of vehicles within the fleet.
• Track repair status and communicate with operators, mechanics, and vendors.
• Review maintenance history to identify service needs and enter requests.
• Assign service tasks to mechanics and monitor progress.
• Coordinate outside repairs, recalls, and warranty work with vendors.
• Ensure parts availability in coordination with parts personnel.
• Maintain compliance with licenses, certifications, and attendance policies.
• Move vehicles between shop, dealerships, and designated locations.
