Job summary

Miles Truck Services of Elkhart, in partnership with True North Fleet Services, is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to be the primary link between customers, technicians, and shop leadership. This role drives service work from initial contact through repair completion and delivery, requiring strong communication, organization, and a sense of ownership in a fast-paced commercial fleet environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial fleet service environments.
• Experience as Service Advisor, Service Writer, Dispatcher, or related roles.
• Strong customer communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand service needs, and create accurate repair orders.
• Coordinate repair estimates, customer approvals, technician communication, and status updates. Parts Pickup/Returns
• Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the repair process.
• Monitor work-in-progress and help identify and resolve issues that could delay completion.
• Recommend appropriate repairs and services based on customer and vehicle needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation within service and repair systems.
• Partner with technicians and shop leadership to support scheduling, workflow, and operational efficiency.
• Support service KPIs, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Take ownership of customer concerns and help drive issues toward resolution.
