Job summary

CTtransit seeks a Maintenance Training and Technical Services professional to develop and deliver system-wide technical maintenance training and safety programs. The role includes coordinating with outside vendors and promoting safety across the maintenance department.

Responsibilities include managing training content, scheduling, and safety investigations, with availability for 24/7 support during emergencies and system-wide safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, training, business management or related field.
• Two years of advanced technical schooling in automotive/heavy vehicle repair or training can substitute for degree.
• Experience in managing employees in a union environment and in trainer roles is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct system-wide technical maintenance training programs.
• Coordinate scheduling and training with outside providers.
• Lead safety initiatives and promote safety department goals.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and document results.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports.
• Maintain training library and materials.
