Job summary

Walmart Transportation is seeking an Operations Manager, Fleet Safety, to lead and develop a team responsible for safe and efficient operations across the private fleet. The role requires strategic thinking and hands‑on leadership to drive world‑class safety performance and operations.

You will identify risk, train drivers on safe practices, manage investigations, and ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA/OSHA standards while delivering business results in a large retail logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related field with 2 years safety experience.
• 4 years’ experience in traffic safety within supply chain or retail.
• 2 years’ experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM) within supply chain or transportation maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential risks and train drivers on safe operation practices.
• Supervise the team, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Handle reporting and investigation of accidents or injuries with prompt action.
• Maintain OSHA regulations and reporting criteria to ensure a safe work environment.
