Job summary

Walmart Operations is seeking an Operations Manager, Fleet Safety, to lead a safety-focused team ensuring the secure and efficient operation of Walmart’s private fleet and compliance with federal transportation regulations. You will identify risks, train drivers, supervise staff, and manage incident investigations while aligning with company safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules, HazMat paperwork, and continuous improvement methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or related area with 2 years' experience in safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
• Or 4 years’ experience in traffic safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
• 2 years’ experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. TPM) within supply chain or transportation maintenance environments.
• Preferred certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH) or related safety certifications; MS Office Suite; SharePoint/OneDrive

Responsibilities

• Identify potential risks and conduct training sessions to educate drivers on safe operation practices.
• Supervise the team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and accountability.
• Handle reporting and investigations of accidents or injuries with thorough analysis and prompt action.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and reporting criteria to ensure a safe workplace
