Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Experience managing safety for fleets of 100+ trucks.
• OSHA certified.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• 5+ years of experience as a Safety Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state safety regulations.
• Maintain and update company safety policies and procedures in coordination with HR.
• Oversee driver onboarding, safety orientation, and ongoing training.
• Conduct safety meetings and remedial training.
• Monitor driver behavior using telematics, and camera systems.
• Lead accident and property damage investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate post-accident testing and documentation.
• Work with insurance carriers and legal teams on claims.
• Track safety KPIs and prepare reports for leadership.
• Partner with operations, dispatch, maintenance, and HR to reinforce safety culture.
• Must perform monthly facility and safety inspections.
• POC for employee injury reporting.

Position Summary
