Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a Fleet Safety Specialist with CDL to lead the day-to-day implementation of fleet safety policies, conduct field audits, monitor driver performance, and coach teams toward safer operations.

This role partners with drivers and managers to translate safety standards into action, uses data analytics and telematics, and drives continuous improvement to reduce MVAs while supporting a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record in enforcing fleet safety policies and using data analytics/telematics to monitor performance and reduce MVAs.
• In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, SMS standards, driver qualification (DQ) processes, and log/ELD compliance.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor drivers through behavior-based techniques and safety training.
• Experience conducting field/facility audits and promoting a proactive safety culture with Good Catch reporting.

Responsibilities

• Telematics & coaching: use data to proactively coach drivers and implement corrective actions.
• Regulatory compliance & DQ files: ensure DOT compliance and audit-ready driver records in Tenstreet.
• Driver onboarding & training: facilitate training programs and sustain onboarding for new drivers.
• Safety culture & incident management: lead investigations and promote zero-incident initiatives.
