Job summary

Airgas seeks a Fleet Safety Specialist with CDL to lead day-to-day enforcement of fleet safety policies and programs across multiple locations. You will analyze telematics data (Lytx), coach drivers, and ensure DOT compliance while maintaining audits and training initiatives.

The role emphasizes a culture of safety, ongoing driver development, and collaboration with branch personnel to reduce MVAs and improve overall road safety performance.

Qualifications

• Experience enforcing fleet safety programs and policies.
• Subject matter expert for vehicle-related safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to leverage data analytics and telematics to improve safety performance.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety policies and regulatory requirements; ensure PPE use.
• Train and coach drivers on safe driving, routing, and equipment operation.
• Develop and improve driver training programs for commercial vehicles.
• Use Lytx data to coach drivers and reduce incidents.
• Maintain driver qualification files and ensure CDL renewals are up to date.
• Lead safety audits and inspections across locations.
