Job summary

M&D Transportation, LLC is seeking a Transportation Safety Coordinator to drive safety across our fleet, drivers, and logistics. You’ll use inspections, real‑time monitoring, and training to keep drivers safe and deliveries on schedule.

Based on site with occasional overnight travel, you’ll implement safety policies, manage Samsara and related systems, conduct vehicle inspections and audits, lead safety trainings, and ensure credentials are up to date while investigating incidents and driving

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in fleet safety or logistics, with knowledge of FMCSRs and OSHA regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with safety monitoring systems such as Samsara and SambaSafety is a plus.
• Proven ability to build rapport with drivers, managers, and cross‑functional teams to influence safe practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and roll out safety policies that prevent accidents and protect drivers and communities.
• Manage and optimize safety tracking systems (Samsara), monitoring alerts for incidents and policy violations in real time.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections, hub audits, and pre/post‑trip checks.
