Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking a Fleet Safety Coordinator - Camera Support to oversee onboard recording devices and event-based camera technology across the fleet. You will monitor events, coach drivers, document actions, and coordinate camera installations.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, DOT/compliance awareness, and strong MS Office skills. You will support safety teams and maintain camera system records while ensuring regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license; ability to operate company vehicles.
• Experience in transportation safety coordination or DOT compliance preferred.
• Basic understanding of camera event recorder systems and telematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and AS400.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review video-based safety events from onboard cameras.
• Coach drivers on driving patterns and event trends.
• Document coaching actions and remediation efforts in Safety MIS.
• Provide driver remediation and follow-up per policy.
• Schedule camera installations, removals, and repairs.
• Maintain installation records for camera systems fleet-wide.
• Assist drivers with camera system questions and troubleshooting.
• Prepare compliance reports for Safety Review Committee.
• Communicate FMCSR regulations and DOT requirements.
• Collect video footage for legal or claims as requested.
• Conduct device audits and compliance reviews.
• Manage camera and ELD inventory and records.
• Place vehicles/drivers out of service when needed.
