Job summary

City of New York DOT Fleet Services seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the Chief of Staff’s Vehicle Compliance and Vehicle Prep Offices. The role conducts inspections to verify safety and compliance of vehicles, parts and repairs, and coordinates with multiple teams on deliveries, registrations and invoicing.

Under supervision, you will inspect vehicles in service, update fleet records, and use Fleet Focus and Geotab systems to prepare fleet reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence

Responsibilities

• Inspects all types of vehicles and automotive equipment for safety and operation.
• Recommends acceptance or rejection of deliveries and assists in price reduction estimates.
• Prepares new vehicles for intake in Fleet Focus and installs Geotab systems and decals.
• Assists in DMV registrations for the agency’s vehicles.
• Coordinates with vendors, vehicle coordinators and accounts payable on delivery schedules and payments.
• Inspects in-service vehicles to determine repair needs and monitors warranty agreements.
