Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking an Assistant Deputy Chief, Non-Revenue Fleet to lead governance, lifecycle planning, and strategic sourcing for its non-revenue fleet. This executive role oversees contract management, supplier oversight, and performance metrics to optimize fleet utilization and total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lean concepts applied to supply chain and operations.
• Strong knowledge of procurement operations, supplier management, ERP/SCM systems.
• Ability to develop roadmaps, milestones, and KPIs and execute them.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, lifecycle planning, strategic sourcing and contract management.
• Oversee supplier oversight, performance management and spend optimization.
• Develop enterprise fleet replacement plans and standards, align budgets and OEM timelines.
• Improve total cost of ownership and fleet utilization across non-revenue assets.
• Drive change, mentor staff and ensure continuous improvement within procurement.
