Job summary

New Braunfels Chamber seeks an Inventory/Parts Clerk to maintain the parts and supply room for the transportation department. Responsibilities include requisitioning items, keeping accurate fuel and purchase records, and ensuring catalogs and inventories are up to date.

You will work with vendors and the purchasing department to secure parts for vehicle repair and maintenance, verify deliveries, and support inventory audits while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Skills: Effective communication and basic accounting/inventory knowledge.
• Knowledge: Purchasing procedures preferred.
• Tech: Proficient with PC and automated inventory system.
• Ability: Understand and execute verbal/written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Locate and requisition parts, materials, and supplies for vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Assist Shop Foreman in maintaining records of fuel usage and orders.
• Contact vendors to check on availability of parts and supplies.
• Work with Purchasing to develop specs, sources, pricing, shipping, and receiving.
• Ensure parts catalogs and order books are current and accurate.
