Job summary

Watson Civil Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Fleet Management Coordinator to support vehicle and equipment fleet operations in central Florida. The role focuses on telematics installation, data accuracy, and proactive problem resolution.

The ideal candidate will be technically inclined, organized, and able to work with drivers, vendors, and internal teams. In-office, based in St. Augustine, FL, with occasional travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in fleet operations, telematics, or related roles.
• Experience with fleet management, preventive maintenance coordination, and vehicle/equipment tracking.
• Familiarity with GPS/camera systems, telematics hardware, and upfitting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day fleet operations and serve as point of contact for fleet-related questions.
• Maintain accurate vehicle and equipment inventory, records, assignments, locations, and status.
• Update fleet and telematics systems when personnel changes occur.
• Coordinate vehicle ordering, delivery, upfitting, assignment, transfer, disposal.
• Arrange preventive maintenance and repairs for vehicles.
• Apply knowledge of vehicle types and upfitting requirements when coordinating fleet needs.
• Support telematics installation and system administration; troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor telematics devices and data reporting for location, mileage, hours, and status.
• Troubleshoot wiring, power, OBD-II, connectivity, software, and app issues.
• Track and resolve offline or misassigned devices with vendors and support teams.
• Review driver behavior and safety events in telematics data.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Risk & Fleet Manager.
