Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Supervisor, Fleet Operations Management to assist the Mechanic Shop Manager in daily operations, supervising shop staff and directing work to meet daily goals and Cox/Manheim standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing repairs, estimating, staffing, and ensuring safety and quality in reconditioning vehicles for sale. Demeanor should reflect Cox values and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED and 5 years of relevant experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• 2–5 years of vehicle reconditioning mechanical shop experience required.
• OSHA/EPA regulations knowledge preferred.
• Strong people, teamwork and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are repaired and painted to meet standards and customer or account requirements.
• Purchase equipment, materials and supplies for the shop and oversee maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain and develop staff through recruitment and training and oversee estimates for repairs.
• Oversee quality control of vehicles and communicate reconditioning goals and improvements.
