Job summary

Manheim is seeking a Shop Manager to assist the Mechanic Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations of the mechanic shop in Atlanta. You will supervise shop employees and direct work to meet daily goals and Manheim's quality and service standards when preparing vehicles for sale.

You will oversee vehicle repair and painting to standards, manage parts and equipment, recruit and train staff, oversee reconditioning estimates, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED and 5 years of relevant experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• 2 - 5 years of vehicle reconditioning mechanical shop experience required.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are repaired and painted to meet Manheim's standards and customer or account requirements.
• Purchase equipment, materials and supplies for the shop and oversee maintenance and protection of shop equipment.
• Maintain and develop staff by recruiting and training employees and providing educational opportunities.
• Oversee estimates for collision repair, lot damage, transport damage, etc.
• Review work volumes, planning and continuously monitoring staffing levels.
• Oversee the quality control of vehicles.
• Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance.
• Direct staff to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy in their repair work.
• May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
