Job summary

Manheim in Atlanta, GA seeks an operations-oriented Shop Manager to assist the Mechanic Shop Manager in daily operations, supervise shop staff, and direct work to meet goals and Manheim quality standards when preparing vehicles for sale.

You will oversee repairs and painting to meet standards, manage materials, recruit and train staff, oversee estimates, monitor staffing levels, enforce safety and company policies, and drive continuous process improvements across the shop.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED and 5 years of relevant experience in a related field.
• 2-5 years of vehicle reconditioning mechanical shop experience required.
• OSHA and EPA regulations knowledge preferred.
• Excellent people, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Strong communication and supervisory abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the mechanic shop and supervise staff.
• Ensure repairs and painting meet standards and customer/account requirements.
• Oversee estimates for collision repair and other damages.
• Maintain and develop staff through recruitment and training.
• Direct staff to achieve high quality and accurate repair work.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures and drive process improvements.
