Job summary

8Fleet is seeking a proactive Fleet Supervisor in Miami, FL. You will oversee daily shift operations, coordinate driver assignments, and monitor performance to ensure efficient vehicle movement and high on-time rates.

Proficiency with GPS tracking and dispatch software is expected, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The role requires supervisory experience in transportation/logistics, a relevant degree if possible, and flexibility to work Thursdays through Sundays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in fast-paced transportation or logistics with supervisory experience preferred.
• High-school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations: monitor driver schedules, track vehicle locations, respond to real-time issues.
• Manage driver assignments and routes for optimal utilization; minimize idle time.
• Communicate with drivers, operations, and staff via phone, text and other channels.
• Monitor KPIs: on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, safety records.
• Maintain accurate shift records: assignments, movements, incidents.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including DOT and company policies.
