Job summary

8Fleet, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Supervisor in Miami, FL to oversee daily shift operations, manage driver assignments, and monitor vehicle performance.

You will communicate with drivers and management, document activities, and implement process improvements while ensuring compliance with DOT and company policies. Flexible weekend shifts (Thu–Sun) are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced transportation or logistics environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and other relevant technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think quickly and decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in Gmail and the ability to pick up various apps and software as needed.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, especially Thursday-Sunday

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations: monitor driver schedules, track locations, respond to delays, accidents, or mechanical problems.
• Manage driver assignments: allocate drivers to routes, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing idle time.
• Communicate effectively: maintain clear communication with drivers, operations management, and staff via phone, text and other channels.
• Monitor driver performance: track KPIs such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and safety records.
• Maintain accurate records: document shift activities, including driver assignments and vehicle movements.
• Collaborate with other departments: work with other groups to ensure seamless operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements: analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations: adhere to safety and regulatory requirements, including DOT and company policies.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Fleet Supervisor to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a designated shift, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles and drivers. You will play a key role in optimizing resource allocation and maximizing driver/vehicle productivity.
