Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Fleet to oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance and foster a culture focused on people, safety, service, and cost. The role involves managing personnel, training technicians, and ensuring safe, reliable fleet operations, with emphasis on best practices and regulatory compliance.

The position requires leadership to hire and develop staff, maintain vehicle condition, manage budgets, and produce regular reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of DOT Hazmat OSHA regulations.
• Possession of valid state Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance with a safe work environment for employees.
• Lead safety culture to keep drivers and technicians injury-free.
• Interview, hire, and train fleet technicians; schedule schooling and certifications.
• Ensure vehicles are in proper working condition and document certifications.
• Manage purchasing, warranties, and parts inventory; develop yearly budget.
• Coordinate with drivers to operate specialized equipment and obtain repair bids.
• Produce weekly and yearly reports; comply with regulations.
