Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College seeks a Coordinator, Fleet to manage and supervise the operation, repair, and upfitting of the college's vehicle fleet across campus sites. You will allocate vehicles, monitor readiness, maintain records, and ensure safety compliance.

The role requires driver license, relevant fleet or automotive experience, and the ability to coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders while upholding ethical standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations governing commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of maintenance and servicing requirements for a commercial fleet.
• Knowledge of new technologies and best practices in fleet management.
• Ability to coordinate service and repair with external vendors.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and safety.
• Ability to budget and manage capital expenditures.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Fleet Car Servicing Oversight: coordinate service and repair with vendors and set maintenance procedures.
• Vehicle Allocation Program Management: ensure staff receive safe, reliable vehicles for operations.
• Vehicle Readiness Program Execution: monitor service levels and maintain vehicle and equipment records.
• Training and Driver Readiness Oversight: provide driver safety training and policy-aligned readiness.
• Management of Fleet Assets: review capital requests and administer licensing and asset policies.
• Collaborative Teamwork: build positive relationships with staff, faculty and admins.
• Ethics and Confidentiality: handle all matters with integrity and confidentiality.
• Continuous Learning & Professional Development: pursue ongoing education and best practices.
• Other duties: perform related tasks to support operations.
