Transdev is seeking an Operations Manager in Davie, Florida, reporting to the General Manager to oversee fleet maintenance, planning, staffing, and contract compliance. This role directs shop floor activities, ensures safety practices, and collaborates with maintenance and safety departments to meet service requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of transit supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets and performance analysis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of transit supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of transit regulations and operations.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and relevant databases.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work with labor and negotiations; flexible schedules.
• DOT drug testing compliance where applicable.

Responsabilités

• Supervises daily activities of operators and coordinates supervisors and dispatch personnel.
• Performs maintenance management functions as directed by contract language.
• Collaborates with maintenance to meet all service requirements.
• Tracks and analyzes performance; resolves interdepartmental issues; improves processes and scheduling.
• Makes hiring decisions for authorized roles and evaluates staff performance.
• Supports accident/incident investigations and safety training coordination.
• Coordinates with fleet management on maintenance requirements.
• Ensures safety goals and directives are met and department budget is developed.
• May operate a vehicle in revenue service if necessary.
