Transdev is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead fleet maintenance operations and perform hands-on vehicle repairs. The role blends leadership with technical expertise to keep all fleet equipment safe, reliable, and compliant.

You will supervise service technicians and writers, plan maintenance schedules, oversee PMs and safety inspections, and manage parts and budgets in coordination with location staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on mechanical supervisory experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing

Responsabilités

• Schedule and oversee all fleet maintenance activities, ensuring timely and efficient service of vehicles.
• Provide direct supervision to Service Technicians and Service Writers.
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on gas and diesel engines and related systems.
• Conduct PMs, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections for reliability and compliance.
• Lead diagnostic testing to identify mechanical issues and determine repair strategies.
• Supervise maintenance operations by planning, distributing, and delegating work and monitoring performance and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Communicate vehicle availability and maintenance updates with dispatch and operations staff.
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Company regulations related to fleet operations and maintenance.
• Review and approve repair orders for accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
• Order and manage parts, fuel, and subcontracted repair services as needed.
• Coordinate facility services including building and grounds maintenance.
• Work with Location Manager to monitor budgets and performance.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
• Complete special projects and foster a safe, productive work environment
