J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager II to oversee direct driver management for a midsize fleet, ensuring safe, on-time freight movement and compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires coordinating with internal and external contacts to plan routes, monitor performance, and ensure coverage across day, night, and weekend shifts. The position emphasizes building strong driver relationships, supervising payroll and administrative duties, and driving profitability

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics or equivalent military experience with flexibility for various shifts.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain healthy working relationships.
• Experience in delivering commitments and customer feedback improvements.
• Ability to analyze information with high accuracy and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support fleet optimization.
• Train and orient drivers and internal/external systems.
• Analyze fleet operations and profitability to drive continuous improvement.
• Plan, route, and monitor freight movements to meet customer requirements.
