Job summary

Core & Main in St. Louis is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to manage acquisition, maintenance, disposal, and tracking of all business vehicles and related equipment.

You will negotiate contracts for fleet purchases and leases, prepare specifications, arrange for maintenance, and ensure safety compliance. You will oversee fleet data, budgeting, reporting, and coordinate with internal customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in fleet management.
• Experience interpreting financial reports and legal documents.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the acquisition and disposal of fleet units.
• Manages the administration of fleet maintenance, registration and subrogation programs.
• Manages the administration of fuel programs including issuing, replacing and canceling cards as needed.
• Gathers and compiles data for annual fleet planning, vendor RFPs and fleet requests.
• Develops and applies administrative policies for fleet and related repair and maintenance operations.
• Reviews costs and trends related to fleet data to support decisions.
