Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, seeks a Fleet Operations professional to oversee acquisition, maintenance, disposal and tracking of all fleet vehicles and equipment. You will negotiate contracts for fleet purchases and leases, prepare purchase specifications, and coordinate maintenance and replacements while vehicles are repaired.

You will also lead safety training and ensure regulatory compliance. Role involves annual fleet planning, data gathering, and providing reports with charts.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in fleet management.
• Ability to interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversees acquisition and disposal of fleet units.
• Manages fleet maintenance, registration and subrogation programs.
• Manages fuel programs including issuing and canceling cards.
• Gathers data for annual fleet planning, vendor RFPs and fleet requests.
• Develops administrative policies for fleet and maintenance operations.
• Reviews costs and trends related to fleet data to support decisions.
• Prepares reports with charts/graphs and ad hoc requests.
• Provides support for internal customers and vendors.
• Manages, trains and evaluates performance of associates.
