Job summary
King & George seeks a Ground Transportation and Maintenance Manager to oversee installation ground transportation and vehicle maintenance services at the Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, Coraopolis, PA. You will coordinate fleet readiness, maintenance resources and transportation support to ensure continuous service and readiness.
The role requires at least five years of experience in vehicle management and professional certifications (NAFA Fleet Management, Certified Automotive Fleet Manager).
Qualifications
- Five+ years of documented experience managing vehicle management services (C-TE-9).
- NAFA Fleet Management certification; Certified Automotive Fleet Manager certification.
Responsibilities
- Direct transportation and maintenance personnel and monitor fleet serviceability.
- Coordinate repair priorities, vehicle availability and customer transportation requirements.
- Ensure qualified on-site manager or alternate coverage during operating hours.
- Perform no additional duties outside ground transportation and maintenance management.
- Review vehicle availability, maintenance backlog and preventive/special-inspection schedules with FM&A and the mechanic lead.
- Coordinate dispatch priorities, driver resources and maintenance windows with mission and customer needs.
- Review fleet performance and recurring repair trends and direct corrective actions within the ground transportation function.
- Verify operator/mechanic qualifications and maintain alternate coverage and emergency recall readiness.
