Job summary

Housing Works Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to lead daily moving, salvage, and Call Center operations while driving revenue growth. You will oversee truck routing, scheduling, and frontline coordination with donors and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid NY driver’s license, OSHA certification preferred, and strong Verbal and Written communication skills. PTO, health plans, and educational benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, some college preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Moving Department and Call Center for logistics.
• Supervise movers and staff to maintain high performance and safety.
• Confirm inbound donation leads into profitable pickups.
• Implement systems for efficiency, accountability, and data tracking.
• Develop and maintain warehouse space utilization and inventory flow.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and safety compliance.
• Identify opportunities to maximize salvage revenue.
• Coordinate with vendors for salvage goals and logistics.
• Analyze operational data to improve performance and productivity.
• Maintain relations with thrift leadership and external partners.
• Participate in Housing Works advocacy efforts.
